Two girls injured by truck while riding e-scooters in Lincoln, California
A truck struck two girls riding electric scooters on a sidewalk at Joiner Park in Lincoln, sending them to a local hospital for treatment.
On Aug. 26, Lincoln police arrived at Joiner Park following a collision in which a truck turned onto the sidewalk and struck two girls riding electric scooters. The 15-year-old, Kseniia Borisova, suffered fractures to her leg and skull as well as a liver laceration, while details about the other victim's injuries remain unknown. Their mother, Diliara Borisova, told reporters the children were on the sidewalk and the truck driver did not signal before making the turn, leaving no chance to stop.
The driver left the scene and is now being sought by the department’s traffic unit, with potential hit-and-run charges pending. Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact Lincoln Police at 916-645-4040. The injured girls were transported to a nearby hospital for urgent care.
