Two inmates charged with attempted murder of Sara Sharif's father in prison
Two prisoners, Steven Sansom and Adam Watson, have been indicted for trying to kill fellow inmate Urfan Sharif, who is serving time for his daughter Sara Sharif's murder.
The Crown Prosecution Service announced that Steven Sansom, 47, and Adam Watson, 39, face charges of attempted murder after an assault on Urfan Sharif at Belmarsh Prison on 1 January 2025. Both men also face additional offences linked to the incident. Their first court appearance is set for 26 August at Westminster Magistrates' Court. Urfan Sharif, 43, and his stepmother Beinash Batool are already serving life sentences for the killing of Sara Sharif in Woking, Surrey.
