Two Iranian nationals charged with alleged terror scheme targeting British Jews before Yom Kippur
Salam Ahmadyan, 36, and Rahman Salehi, 34, were arrested in Manchester and charged with preparing terrorist acts against British Jews under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
The pair, identified as Iranian citizens residing in Liverpool and Salford, were detained on Sunday in Manchester. Prosecutors allege they coordinated with an overseas contact possibly based in Iran to plan the attack. Both men face charges of engaging in conduct in preparation for terrorism. Their first court appearance is scheduled for the following day at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.
