Two relatives detained after 49-year-old woman found stabbed in Kuala Kangsar home

Assistant Commissioner Heisham Harun announced that two male relatives of Nor Ainon Omar, 49, have been detained as suspects in her stabbing death at a house in Kampung Cheh Hilir, Kati. Police discovered the victim face down, unconscious and bleeding heavily in the living room. A knife thought to have been used in the attack was found at the scene, and the corpse was forwarded to the forensic unit of Taiping Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The investigation indicates the incident may have stemmed from a misunderstanding involving the victim and the detained men. The victim, who had a learning disability, lived with her husband and three children, all of whom also have disabilities. The case is being pursued under the murder provision of the Penal Code.
