Two Russian siblings discovered dead in shallow grave after disappearance near Pattaya

Diana Nazimova, 22, and her brother Roman Nazimov, 17, disappeared on July 26 after riding their motorbike from a convenience store in Pattaya. Three days later, police recovered the bike, dismantled and hidden in a cemetery at Thung Luang, and subsequently located the siblings' bodies in a shallow grave near Khao Chi Chan, about an hour from Pattaya. A multi-province manhunt led to the arrest of Thana Kerdthong, 43, known as “Pong,” and Thongchai Srinil, 39, known as “Thong,” who were hiding in Sa Kaeo province.

Both men admitted to killing the pair to steal the motorcycle, saying they pretended to be police officers before the shooting. Pong allegedly shot Roman and beat Diana, while Thong helped dig the grave under threats. The mother, Zarina, expressed gratitude for public support and called for long prison terms for the perpetrators. The suspects also reportedly confessed to another triple murder of a Thai family nearby.
