Two teenage suspects arrested after fatal shooting at Älvsjö sports complex
A woman working for the municipality was killed during a shooting at a sports venue in Älvsjö, and two upper-teenage men have been detained as suspects.
During a Friday night at a sports facility in Älvsjö, a shooting took place while indoor floorball and football games were in progress, attracting a crowd. The woman shot was a municipal employee involved in youth activities, and she succumbed to her wounds on Saturday. Investigators have taken two men in their upper teenage years into custody after locating them in Flemingsberg early Saturday morning; both continue to deny the crime.
The prosecutor’s office says no clear motive has emerged and no known threat history exists against the victim, describing her as an ordinary citizen. The suspects are not from Stockholm and appear not to have known the victim. While no further arrests have been made, officials have not excluded the possibility of additional accomplices and will decide on pre-trial detention by Tuesday noon.
