Two-vehicle collision in Vaughan leaves one dead and several injured

York Regional Police were dispatched shortly after 7:40 p.m. on Sunday to a crash at the intersection of Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive in Vaughan, north of Toronto. A vintage sport coupe collided with a black SUV that had three people inside. The driver of the coupe suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital.

A passenger, identified as a 34-year-old man from Stoney Creek, died at the scene despite emergency responders' efforts. The three occupants of the SUV were also taken to medical facilities, and one remains in a life-threatening state. Authorities have asked anyone who witnessed the crash or captured video footage to contact them. The incident underscores ongoing traffic safety concerns in the Greater Toronto area.
