Two westbound lanes of the M4 near Cardiff closed after a collision

A collision on the westbound side of the M4 motorway between junctions 33 and 34 led Traffic Wales to close both lanes, disrupting traffic flow in south Wales. Emergency responders were on site, and traffic monitoring service Inrix noted that queues stretched back to junction 32, affecting journeys out of Cardiff. Motorists reported long tailbacks, with one driver describing heavy queues through Llandaff North. Although the lanes have since been reopened, congestion remains between junctions 32 and 33. Authorities continue to warn drivers to expect further delays and to plan additional travel time.
