Two women conduct rare all-female EVA on the International Space Station
NASA astronaut Jessica Meir and ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot performed a six-and-a-half hour spacewalk, marking only the sixth all-female EVA in history.
The pair exited the ISS for a 6.5-hour extravehicular activity, with Meir operating the Canadarm2 robotic arm while Adenot worked tethered to the station. This mission represents the 284th EVA supporting the station’s assembly and upkeep. Meir previously took part in the inaugural all-female spacewalk in 2019 alongside Christina Koch.
