UAE's Abu Dhabi Investment Office seals multiple tech deals with South Korean firms at Seoul forum

The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) held its first investment forum in Seoul, marking the agency's debut in the South Korean market. Titled Abu Dhabi Investment Forum Seoul 2026, the gathering is part of a worldwide series aimed at attracting foreign capital. During the event, local companies such as Hanwha Life Insurance Co. and Kakao Mobility, the taxi-hailing arm of Kakao Corp., signed memorandums of understanding covering digital-asset projects, autonomous-driving technology and gaming collaborations.
Ryu Jae-Myung, serving as Second Vice Science Minister, participated and expressed South Korea's willingness to forge deeper ties with the UAE in cutting-edge sectors. The science ministry confirmed the agreements and highlighted their strategic importance for bilateral economic cooperation. These deals signal a growing partnership between the United Arab Emirates and South Korea in high-tech industries.
