Uber Eats adds Costco delivery to 47 U.S. states, expanding nationwide partnership
Uber and Costco have broadened their U.S. delivery tie-up, now offering Costco items through Uber Eats in 47 states and nearly 600 locations.
Uber and Costco announced that their delivery partnership has been extended to cover 47 U.S. states, increasing the number of participating Costco locations from 17 to almost 600. Shoppers can use the Uber Eats platform to order a full range of Costco merchandise, with membership verification required at checkout and live order tracking available. The deal includes a promotional 50% off an annual Uber One subscription for the first year, dropping to 20% thereafter, and a limited-time $79.99 Uber or Uber Eats gift card that provides $100 in value.
Additionally, Costco members can purchase a Costco membership through the Uber Eats app and receive a 30% discount on their first qualifying order. Uber One members enjoy waived delivery fees on eligible grocery and retail orders over $60 at select stores. The expansion builds on existing availability of Costco on Uber Eats in Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, France and Spain.
Why it matters
The expanded service gives millions of Costco members faster access to bulk goods, boosting both companies' reach and e-commerce growth.
