Uber Eats courier assaults Barstool security guard in Midtown Manhattan showdown
A delivery driver for Uber Eats attacked a Barstool security guard inside the company's Manhattan office, prompting police intervention.
Barstool World headquarters in Midtown Manhattan became the scene of a physical altercation on Monday when an Uber Eats delivery driver confronted security guard Dan over a delivery issue. Founder Dave Portnoy shared footage of the driver punching the guard multiple times, knocking him down and dragging him across the hallway. Three Barstool staff members stepped in to restrain the assailant, who continued to swing while being held.
NYPD officers responded around 2 p.m., arrested a 31-year-old man identified as a person of interest, and treated the guard at the location. Uber announced the driver has been removed from its platform, and Barstool has not issued further comment.
