Ukraine hits Russian electronic warfare hub and multiple military sites in latest strikes
Ukrainian forces struck a Russian electronic warfare station in Bryansk Oblast and hit several military facilities in Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk oblasts.
Ukraine's General Staff said that on Oct. 21 and overnight on Oct. 22, Ukrainian forces attacked a Russian electronic warfare station close to the village of Gulevka in Bryansk Oblast. The same operations hit a Russian command and observation post near Vyshneve and a drone control point near Lankove, both in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as a logistics depot near Zolotarivka in Luhansk Oblast. Officials claim the EW strike will improve Ukraine's ability to use drones, while the drone-control hit is intended to curb Russian drone attacks on Ukrainian positions.
Damage assessments remain incomplete. Monitoring channels also noted Ukrainian drones striking the city of Lipetsk and a weapons factory in Serpukhov, Moscow Oblast.
Why it matters
The attacks aim to weaken Russia's electronic and drone warfare capabilities, affecting the ongoing conflict dynamics.
