Ukraine's foreign minister says war ends only by halting Russian aggression

Foreign Minister Sybiha warned that the conflict will not end until Russia stops its attacks, not by pressuring Ukraine to surrender.

Ukraine's foreign minister, Sybiha, asserted that the war cannot be concluded by weakening Ukraine's resistance but only by ending Russia's offensive actions. He explained that Russia continues to avoid meaningful negotiations because it expects to achieve its invasion goals through coercion of Ukraine. Consequently, Sybiha stressed the importance of sustaining and intensifying pressure on Moscow as the key to ending the conflict.

He reiterated that Ukraine remains fully aligned with the principles of the UN Charter and called on the international community to uphold those standards. The remarks were conveyed through a Ukrainian foreign ministry briefing.
