Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Court Removes Electronic Monitoring from Former Presidential Aide

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court in Ukraine has withdrawn the electronic ankle bracelet previously imposed on Andrii Yermak, citing an independent medical opinion that the device posed a health risk. Yermak, who was dismissed by President Zelenski after raids on his office, is under formal suspicion of involvement in a major money-laundering operation tied to a high-end construction project near Kyiv, with investigators also probing possible links to the state nuclear energy company Energoatom.

He was initially placed in pre-trial detention, released after posting bail, and subsequently ordered not to communicate with other suspects or witnesses. During court proceedings, it emerged that Yermak had consulted a fortune-teller for advice on public appointments. Recent judicial rulings have extended travel restrictions for Yermak across several regions, reflecting the ongoing severity of the case.
