Ukrainian hackers claim massive leak of Russian navy project documents

The Ukrainian Militant hacker collective reports that a cyber-operation called "Poseidon" granted them a large cache of technical documentation from Russia's naval industry. The stolen files reportedly relate to about 70 ships, submarines and other maritime projects and include scientific studies, design schematics, test reports and operational manuals. The documents appear to originate from multiple Russian research and design institutes and contain detailed data on navigation systems, their modernization, installation points, cabling, data interfaces and testing regimes.

Particularly sensitive are the navigation systems for submarines and autonomous underwater vehicles, with some papers describing high-precision, satellite-independent positioning capabilities. The cache also reportedly includes digital sea-map data and classified research project files. The InformNapalm analysis team has verified a subset of the documents, but the overall collection has not been independently confirmed.
