Ukrainian man arrested for producing tens of thousands of alpha-PVP doses
Police in Kępno detained a 36-year-old Ukrainian who manufactured large quantities of the synthetic drug alpha-PVP between July and early September 2026.
During an investigation by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Kępno, police arrested a 36-year-old Ukrainian man on charges of possessing drug-manufacturing equipment and producing substantial amounts of the psychoactive substance alpha-PVP. Between July 2026 and 10 September 2026, the suspect generated at least 19.5 liters of the drug in solution, a volume that forensic experts say can yield tens of thousands of individual doses.
Additionally, 1.2 kg of crystallised alpha-PVP was seized, further increasing the potential dose count. Combining the solution and the crystallised form, authorities reported a total of 104,985 possible doses. The offense carries a penalty of three to twenty years in prison, and the suspect has been placed in temporary custody for three months while the investigation proceeds.
