Ukrainian oligarch lists Finnish defence firms' addresses, calls Finland a legal target

Ukrainian oligarch Viktor Medvedtšuk published the street locations of several Finnish defence and technology companies, accusing Finland of becoming a production hub for Ukraine's military industry and therefore a lawful target for Russia.

Viktor Medvedtšuk, a Ukrainian oligarch linked to President Vladimir Putin, released a list of street addresses for several Finnish defence and technology companies on the Drugaja Ukraina website. He claims Finland is rapidly becoming a production platform for Ukraine's military complex, supplying drones, AI, communications and counter-measure systems used against Russia. According to Medvedtšuk, this transformation turns Finnish industry into a lawful target for Russian forces.

He also accused President Alexander Stubb of hypocrisy, alleging that Stubb publicly backs diplomatic talks while Finland quietly builds a supply network for Ukrainian armaments. Medvedtšuk, who was detained in Ukraine in 2022 and later exchanged for Russian prisoners, now works from Russia on anti-Ukrainian propaganda. Ukraine has labeled his actions as treasonous.

Why it matters

The claim could heighten tensions between Finland and Russia and affect Finnish defence firms' security.
