UN warns West Bank on brink as Israeli raids, arrests and demolitions surge

Israeli troops detained a minimum of 23 Palestinians on Tuesday, among them two children—one with a disability—and a herder in al-Hadidiyah, with additional arrests in Jenin and Bethlehem. Simultaneously, demolition crews razed the family house of Farouq Ramadan in Tal, the home of Ibrahim Mifleh al-Atimin near Yatta, and filled a water well, displacing nine relatives; they also leveled 12 warehouses in Anza and an agricultural site in Yarza, and issued notices for a school and other structures in Masafer Yatta.

Settler groups attacked farmers in Al-Mughayyir, injuring six, including three children, and burned parts of the valley. Addressing the UN Security Council, Deputy Special Coordinator Ramiz Alakbarov said the West Bank has seen 76 Palestinian deaths, 18 of them children, and nearly 3,800 people displaced, with over 1,430 settler attacks recorded this year. He warned that ongoing settlement expansion and demolition policies are reshaping the area toward de facto annexation.
