Undercover footage sparks mass resignations and suspensions within Reform UK
A year-long undercover investigation released by ITV Exposure has exposed racist, sexist and violent comments by Reform UK members, leading to several suspensions and resignations.
ITV Exposure’s undercover operation, filmed over a year, revealed a pattern of extremist language among Reform UK activists and elected officials. Footage shows Nigel Farage directing communications chief Ed Sumner to demand an apology from mayoral hopeful Chris Parry, who had called the former deputy prime minister a Caribbean immigrant. Subsequent clips capture councillor Alan Feeney describing Asian families as "parasites," candidate Chris Whelan making vulgar comments about a female colleague, and councillor Dean Miller advocating violence against immigrants and even calling for the beheading of King Charles.
Additional recordings include an aspiring MP proposing concentration camps for asylum seekers and MP Sarah Pochin alleging gender exclusion within the party. In response, several members have resigned or been suspended, and Reform UK issued a statement pledging improved vetting while noting that no party is immune to a few rogue individuals.
Why it matters
The scandal threatens Reform UK's credibility and could reshape its standing ahead of upcoming elections.
