Undocumented immigrant deported after assaulting multiple Fairfax high school girls

Israel Flores-Ortiz, an undocumented immigrant from El Salvador, was detained by DHS in Fairfax County, Virginia, and deported after a brief incarceration for groping nine high-school girls. He had been released after roughly nine months of an abbreviated sentence despite facing a potentially lengthy term. A DOJ immigration judge had ordered his removal shortly before DHS agents took him into custody.

Fairfax County officials said the sheriff’s office managed the transfer, not the Commonwealth's Attorney. The incident highlights the clash between the county’s sanctuary stance and federal immigration enforcement.
