Undrafted Syracuse star Finn Thomson finds success with California Redwoods
After being passed over in the PLL college draft, Syracuse midfielder Finn Thomson signed with the California Redwoods and quickly made an impact.
Syracuse's men's lacrosse team celebrated several draft selections, but Finn Thomson was the only Orange player left undrafted. Motivated by his parents' advice, he finished his college career with 19 goals in the last six games and performed well at the first PLL Pro Day. The California Redwoods signed him, and he debuted in Columbus, quickly scoring twice in his first match.
Veteran teammate Sam English highlighted Thomson's ability to find gaps and finish without the ball, while coach Anthony Kelly noted his immediate contribution when rotated to attack. Thomson aims to help the Redwoods secure a playoff spot and aspires to represent Team Canada in future Olympics.
