Unidentified attackers hurl bricks and attempt arson at Shakib Al Hasan's home

Magura police reported that unidentified miscreants assaulted the home of former Bangladesh cricket captain and former parliamentarian Shakib Al Hasan on the evening of the incident, throwing brick chips and breaking windows before trying to set the house on fire. The attack occurred at approximately 9 p.m. in the Keshab Mor neighbourhood of Magura town, with no injuries reported. The assault came shortly after Shakib attended a media gathering in New Delhi hosted by the Foreign Correspondents' Club of South Asia, where ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the audience.

Police officer Md Abdullah Al Mamun said the identities of the attackers remain unknown and security has been increased around the property while an investigation proceeds. No group has claimed responsibility, and officials have not officially connected the assault to Shakib's recent appearance.
