Aebischer, 29, secured a permanent transfer to the Italian club after a loan spell from Bologna, where he met a clause tied to 25 appearances by playing 35 matches. He is under contract with Pisa until 2029, but the club’s recent relegation to Serie B may prompt an early exit.
Union hopes the player’s extensive experience, including 44 caps for Switzerland and a World Cup appearance, will strengthen their midfield. While other Bundesliga and Serie A clubs have shown interest, Aebischer reportedly favors a move to Berlin. Negotiations continue, with no agreement reached yet.
