United Russia dominates early vote, poised for constitutional majority in Duma
United Russia is leading in both the party-list and single-member contests, putting it on course to secure a constitutional majority in the State Duma.
According to the Central Election Commission, United Russia is ahead in the party-list vote and dominates the single-member district race, leading in 208 of 225 districts. Opposition parties such as the Communist Party, Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, New People, A Just Russia, and Rodina are ahead in a handful of districts each. The party-list tally suggests United Russia may secure about 130 seats, and with its strong showing in district contests it is on track to achieve the 301 seats required for a constitutional majority in the 450-seat State Duma. Seats will also be redistributed among parties that pass the electoral threshold, further bolstering United Russia's position.
