Unrivaled launches month-long tour to showcase three-on-three women's basketball in new markets

The three-on-three women's league Unrivaled will embark on a month-long, multi-city tour during its 2027 season, bringing games outside Miami for the first time.

Unrivaled, the three-on-three women's basketball league founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier, is shifting from a Miami-only format to a traveling showcase for its third season starting in January 2027. Branded as "Unrivaled on Tour," the month-long circuit will visit several cities, hosting two games per night to give non-South Florida fans a chance to see the league live. While the exact cities, dates, and pairings remain undisclosed, the move aims to gauge market demand, attract sponsors, and identify potential sites for future expansion.

The league entered its second season with eight teams and has already listed 46 players for 2027, including stars such as Paige Bueckers, Aliyah Boston, Cameron Brink, Chelsea Gray, Kelsey Plum and Rhyne Howard. By keeping the core Miami structure while reaching new audiences, Unrivaled hopes to grow its national footprint without sacrificing the stability the original model provided.

Why it matters

The tour lets fans nationwide experience a growing women's basketball league and helps the sport assess expansion potential.
