At a programme marking 250 years of American independence, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor highlighted a widening bilateral partnership that now spans defence, technology and health. He cited Exercise Tarang Shakti, a joint drill at Jodhpur Air Force Station that saw over 500 personnel participate, as evidence of deepening military ties. Gor added that Indian and American firms are boosting mutual investments, with several US corporations setting up large manufacturing facilities on Indian soil.
In the health arena, he stressed the United States' reliance on Indian-produced generic drugs, describing the relationship as one of trust. The ambassador also referenced a recent conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Donald Trump, suggesting more initiatives may follow.
