US and China strike $30 billion tariff deal during Xi's state visit

Xi Jinping arrived in Washington with his wife Peng Liyuan for a historic state visit, the first by a Chinese leader in over a decade. The tariff arrangement continues the dialogue that started at the Busan summit in October and was reinforced at the May Beijing meeting, where joint trade and investment boards were created.
