Jason Smith is scrutinizing payments exceeding $330,000 that firms associated with former tech entrepreneur Neville Roy Singham allegedly funneled to a company tied to Code Pink, a feminist organization that has staged pro-Palestinian protests in the United Kingdom. Smith said the probe demonstrates Singham’s influence reaching beyond America, backing pro-Hamas and pro-communist activities overseas.
Code Pink’s co-founder Jodie Evans is Singham’s wife, reinforcing the link. British MPs such as Sarah Champion and Alicia Kearns have called for a joint UK-US investigation and the application of the National Security Act against unregistered Chinese Communist Party agents. Conservative MP Iain Duncan Smith urged the UK to classify China as a high-level foreign-influence threat. Meanwhile, the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Sen. Chuck Grassley and the Department of Justice have launched their own inquiries into Singham’s alleged financial crimes related to leftist activism.
