US drone maker Powerus secures Indian licence and Pakistani order amid Trump family investment

Powerus Defense, a newly formed US drone company, entered a June agreement with Paras Defence and Space Technologies granting an exclusive licence to produce its Guardian 1 Interceptor anti-drone system in India, with Paras receiving a licence fee and a share of net profits. The market filing describes the licence as covering the use of the patented IP within India for manufacturing and commercialisation. Shortly after, Powerus announced a limited procurement order from Pakistan’s defence ministry, following a meeting between its co-founder Brett Velicovich and Pakistani Army chief Asim Munir in Rawalpindi; the order appears to involve one outlet 2 interceptor.

Powerus has previously secured small contracts with the US Air Force and Department of Defence. Company records show that Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump are listed as notable investors through their American Venture Partners vehicle, though the firm says the Trump family has no operational control. These contracts mark the company's first major sales in the Indian and Pakistani defence markets.
