US Sanctions Force Shutdown of Far-Left Online Attack Platform Switch Off
The far-left website Switch Off, which posted calls for arson and sabotage, has been taken offline after the US Treasury sanctioned its hosting collective.
The extremist online forum Switch Off, which repeatedly called for left-wing arson attacks and offered instructions for building incendiary devices, is no longer accessible to the public. German intelligence agencies had labeled the site as a hub that incites criminal activity and documented more than one hundred alleged offenses posted there. The shutdown follows a decision by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control to place the Autistici/Inventati collective, the group that supplied the site’s hosting services, on a terrorist sanctions list.
After the designation, the collective announced it would discontinue its operations, leading to the immediate removal of Switch Off from the internet. US Senator Marco Rubio highlighted the collective’s role in supporting violent Antifa cells worldwide. The move underscores trans-atlantic cooperation against extremist digital networks.
