USC and Notre Dame Agree to Renew Classic Football Series Starting in 2030

USC and Notre Dame have finalized a four-year football series, reviving a rivalry that has been played annually since the end of a World War II break, except for the 2020 pandemic-affected season. The inaugural game of the new pact will occur in the first week of the 2030 season at the Los Angeles Coliseum, with the second meeting set for the opening week of 2031 at Notre Dame Stadium. The 2032 and 2033 games will be announced later but are expected to take place within the first three weeks of each respective season.

The agreement resolves previous negotiation deadlocks concerning game dates and Notre Dame’s College Football Playoff guarantee for top-12 finishes. By reestablishing the annual contest, the schools restore a cornerstone of college football tradition.
