USC depth chart highlights five true freshmen as potential starters

Ahead of the season opener at the Coliseum, USC posted its initial depth chart, highlighting five players from its highly ranked freshman class as starters or potential starters. Mark Bowman (tight end), Luke Wafle (defensive end), and receivers Trent Mosley and Kayden Dixon-Wyatt are among those named, while cornerback Elbert “Rock” Hill IV competes with redshirt sophomore Chasen Johnson for a spot. Coach Lincoln Riley noted the freshmen have shown veteran-like consistency in practice and should translate that to game performance.

The chart also lists other true freshmen—including Ethan “Boobie” Feaster, Vlad Dyakonov, Breck Kolojay, Talanoa Ili, and Madden Riordan—on the two-deep roster. Injuries to Kilian O’Connor, Jahkeem Stewart and others have created opportunities for players like Tobias Raymond at center and Alex VanSumeren and Jide Abasiri at defensive tackle.
