USC freshman receiving quartet sparks offense with back-to-back 100-yard games

USC's "Prefab Four" of true freshmen—tight end Mark Bowman and wide receivers Trent Mosley, Kayden Dixon-Wyatt and Tron Baker—were in the starting lineup from the opening snap and have quickly become key contributors. In the first two contests they combined for 477 of the team's 753 receiving yards, with Mosley recording 118 yards in his debut and repeating the feat, the first USC freshman to log 100-plus yards in consecutive games since Drake London in 2019.

Dixon-Wyatt added a 102-yard performance, giving the Trojans two freshman 100-yard receivers in one game for the first time since records began in 1973. Bowman and Baker also posted catches, while Mosley's 68-yard touchdown and a 41-yard punt return highlighted the dynamic play-calling of coach Lincoln Riley. Quarterback Jayden Maiava praised their maturity, and the quartet has already begun speaking to the press, reflecting their smooth transition from high-school rivals to college teammates.
