Utah dominates Idaho 66-14 in season opener, showcasing dual-QB attack

Utah opened its 2026 football campaign with a 66-14 victory over Idaho at Rice-Eccles Stadium, giving head coach Morgan Scalley a strong debut. The Utes employed a two-quarterback system, allowing starter Devon Dampier to complete 13 of 18 passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns, while backup Byrd Ficklin went 4-for-8 for 93 yards and two scores, also rushing for 70 yards.
