Utah Lawmaker Trevor Lee Faces Felony Charges Over Fraudulent Loan Scheme
Utah Rep. Trevor Lee was indicted on multiple felonies for forging documents and misrepresenting income to secure a home loan.
In 3rd District Court, the Utah Attorney General’s Office charged Rep. Trevor Lee with two second-degree felonies—communications fraud and mortgage fraud—and two third-degree felonies for forgery and possessing a forging device. Investigators allege Lee created bogus employment documents, claiming a $15,833 monthly salary at Blue Logic and a $13,761 salary at Enevive, despite both companies stating he never held those positions.
The fabricated paperwork was used to obtain a home loan, and Lee also sought $93,000 in cash advances to appear financially qualified for a property purchase. He reportedly promised the Enevive CEO a government contract at one outlet Air Force Base in exchange for the advances. During questioning, Lee confessed to forging the CEO’s signature on the Enevive contract and to using the false Blue Logic offer letter to misrepresent his income.
