Uttar Pradesh chief minister unveils two large-scale housing schemes in Lucknow
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated two major housing projects in Lucknow, covering over 10,000 acres and aimed at housing hundreds of thousands of residents.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath formally launched two expansive housing initiatives, Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar, in the state capital. Varun Vihar will be built on more than 6,500 acres near the Agra Expressway, while Naimish Nagar will occupy about 4,100 acres along Sitapur Road, together covering 10,680 acres. The schemes aim to accommodate around 800,000 residents, with plot sizes ranging from 72 to 450 square metres and prices fixed between ₹2,800 and ₹3,800 per square foot.
Registrations began following a bhoomi pujan ceremony, and land for Naimish Nagar was acquired from 18 villages in BKT tehsil. In the same event, five apartment projects costing ₹2,166 crore were introduced, featuring the Lake View Apartments in Gomti Nagar with three-bedroom units priced at ₹1.13 crore, as well as lower-cost flats under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in other city zones.
