Uttar Pradesh to appoint over 100,000 young people to government jobs within six months

At a Lucknow event distributing appointment letters to 818 newly selected candidates, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath pledged that more than 100,000 youths will be given government jobs in the next six months. He contrasted this with the former Samajwadi Party government, which he accused of installing an unqualified chairman, Anil Kumar Yadav, to the UP Public Service Commission—a move the Allahabad High Court later struck down as illegal and arbitrary.

Adityanath highlighted that one outlet administration’s recruitment boards operate without political interference, producing the results shown at the ceremony. He also recalled the state's troubled past before 2017, describing past riots, curfews, and job scarcity that forced many young people to migrate. The chief minister asserted that recent reforms have turned Uttar Pradesh into a revenue-surplus state and a key driver of India's economy, now ranking among the nation’s top three economies.
