Vehicle breaches bridge barriers and plunges into the Vltava in Prague
Around 8 a.m. on Saturday, a vehicle smashed through bridge barriers and fell into the Vltava River in Prague; all occupants were rescued.
Police received the report at about eight in the morning on Saturday. The vehicle broke the bridge's safety barriers before dropping into the river. A witness who jumped into the water helped the driver, and rescuers later retrieved both the driver and the witness. All three individuals were treated for hypothermia but were not in life-threatening condition. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the barrier breach.
