Veteran Indian actor Nana Patekar dies at 75 after cardiac arrest
Bollywood legend Nana Patekar was found unconscious at his Goa home and later declared dead following a severe cardiac arrest.
Nana Patekar, a celebrated figure in Hindi and Marathi cinema, was found unconscious at his home in Dona Paula, Goa, and taken to Manipal Hospital. Dr. Shekhar Salkar, chief of the oncology department, reported that after 45 minutes of CPR the actor could not be saved and was declared dead at the hospital. Authorities have registered a medico-legal case and will conduct a post-mortem examination.
Patekar, born Vishwanath Patekar in 1951, built a distinguished career with roles in films such as "Parinda," "Krantiveer" and "Ab Tak Chhappan," earning three National Awards and a Padma Shri.
