Veteran media exec Yoko Higuchi-Zatzmann and AI filmmaker Mark Wachholz launch Dreamkite Studios
Yoko Higuchi-Zatzmann and Mark Wachholz have founded Dreamkite Studios, a Munich-Berlin AI-native film studio aiming to blend generative AI with traditional filmmaking.
Former Telepool CEO Yoko Higuchi-Zatzmann and AI filmmaker Mark Wachholz announced the creation of Dreamkite Studios, headquartered in Munich and Berlin. The company intends to become a leading European premium studio by integrating generative AI with conventional production, employing professional directors and actors for AI-first and hybrid projects. Higuchi-Zatzmann’s background includes leadership roles at Telepool, Pantaleon Films and Constantin Film, while Wachholz has earned top honors at the Omni International AI Film Festival and Artefact AI Film Festival for his 2025 AI movie.
Dreamkite is already assembling a roster of AI-savvy talent such as Sylvia Nitzsche, Albert Bozesan, Eike Swoboda, Florian Meimberg and Shamila Lengsfeld, and is developing several original titles, including Wachholz’s “Céremony” and “The Day the World Prayed,” as well as a hybrid adaptation of Curtis Briggs and Stefan Lukschy’s novel “The Color of Stars.” The studio emphasizes responsible AI use, European creative independence and the ambition to reshape cinematic storytelling.
