Veteran Teleorman PSD figure Timotei Stuparu passes away at 75

Timotei Stuparu, one of Teleorman’s most recognized politicians, has died at the age of 75. He previously served as president of the Teleorman County Council, as a deputy in the national legislature, as a senator, and as secretary general of the PSD Teleorman organization. Colleagues from the local PSD branch announced his death on the party’s official Facebook page, describing him as a devoted public servant whose work left a lasting imprint on the county’s political life.

The party invited supporters to pay their respects at the Spirea Noua chapel on Puișor Street, followed by a second service at the Biserica Sfânta Treime in the village of Ostratu, Corbeanca. The tributes emphasized his long-standing commitment to the community and his role in shaping local politics.
