Vice Chief Ajay Kochhar Highlights Navy's Multi-Domain Push and Swavlamban Innovation Drive
Vice Chief of the Naval Staff Ajay Kochhar said the Indian Navy is advancing capabilities across air, sea and AI, and promoted the Swavlamban 2026 innovation programme.
Speaking at the launch of Swavlamban 2026, Vice Chief Ajay Kochhar emphasized the Navy’s focus on developing assets in air, maritime and artificial-intelligence domains. He cited Operation Urja Suraksha, which has safely escorted numerous vessels through contested sea lanes. The Swavlamban initiative, described as the Navy’s flagship for indigenisation, will hold a seminar on October 26 at the Manekshaw Centre.
