Victims’ families still donating devastating artifacts to 9/11 Memorial & Museum — including fateful boarding pass, FDNY shield

One month after losing his mother, Jason Seymour received a mystery package at his California home. Inside was the boarding pass that his mom, Jacqueline “June” Norton, had used to board American Airlines Flight 11 at Boston’s Logan International Airport on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, on her way to Los Angeles with her husband, Robert. From there, they were set to travel on to Santa Barbara for Seymour’s wedding four days later. The ticket was tucked inside her purse and is one of the few intact personal effects found after the plane carrying 92 passengers and crew members was flown by hijackers into the North Tower of the World Trade Center.
