Video shows NJ woman chatting with police after DUI murder at wedding

Police body-camera video released by the Folly Beach Police Department depicts Jamie Lee Komoroski, the New Jersey driver responsible for a fatal DUI crash at a wedding, engaging in light-hearted conversation with officers after her arrest. While handcuffed, she talked about pollen allergies, cereal preferences, her mixed Polish heritage, and a kitten named Theo, as well as her favorite fast-food items. The crash on April 28, 2023, involved a Camry hitting a golf cart carrying newlyweds Samantha and Aric Hutchinson, killing the bride instantly and leaving the groom with severe brain injury and broken bones; two other passengers were also badly hurt.

Komoroski claimed she had only had a beer and a tequila drink, yet a later test showed her blood alcohol was three times over the legal limit. After spending just under a year in jail, she pleaded guilty to felony DUI, reckless homicide and causing great bodily injury, receiving a 25-year prison term in December 2024.
