General Secretary and President Lam highlighted the need to translate the 14th National Party Congress’s strategic goals into concrete actions, stressing Party leadership, unity, and a thorough review of the past 15 years of Party building.
He urged candid identification of unresolved weaknesses, greater responsiveness to public concerns, and expanded roles for the Vietnam Fatherland Front. The agenda includes reforms to cadre assessment, talent recruitment from the private sector and overseas, and a push for accelerated socio-economic progress in 2027, with a focus on removing institutional bottlenecks and improving budget efficiency. The plenary will continue until Oct. 8, aiming to align short-term tasks with the 2030 and 2045 development targets.
