Vietnamese aerospace startup VinSpace confirmed a partnership with SpaceX to send its first satellites into orbit on a Transporter rideshare launch scheduled for 2027. The venture will see VinSpace's own satellite designs tested in space, supporting future commercial applications and demonstrating the company's end-to-end capabilities. Established in November 2025 as part of Vingroup, the conglomerate owned by tycoon Pham Nhat Vuong, VinSpace seeks to become a comprehensive aerospace firm covering design, manufacturing, launch management, operations, and data services.
The deal follows Vietnam's recent authorization of SpaceX's Starlink broadband service and the inauguration of a major space science and technology centre in Hanoi's Hoa Lac High-Tech Park. VinSpace CEO Thu Vu emphasized that reliable launch access is essential for turning satellite innovation into operational missions. The contract's financial terms and the exact number or type of satellites remain undisclosed.
