Vijay accuses AIADMK of plotting alliance with DMK at Dharapuram rally
At a by-poll rally in Dharapuram, C Joseph Vijay claimed AIADMK is preparing to join forces with the DMK, which he labeled an “evil force.”
Tamil Nadu chief minister and TVK chief C Joseph Vijay used a rally in the SC-reserved Dharapuram constituency to repeat accusations that AIADMK intends to form a government with the DMK, which he called an “evil force.” Speaking for TVK’s candidate P Sathyabama, Vijay argued that such a partnership would dishonour the principles of M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa. He also criticized the DMK for a “monarchical mindset” and for forgetting its loss in the April assembly elections.
Vijay defended Sathyabama’s recent move from AIADMK to TVK, noting she resigned her MLA seat before joining. Sathyabama, visibly upset, said she was being unfairly targeted and insulted. In response, DMK spokesperson TKS Elangovan accused Vijay of acting on BJP-led centre instructions, calling him the party’s biggest slave in Tamil Nadu. AIADMK officials did not comment before publication.
