Vikki Campion joins NSW One Nation as advisor ahead of state election
Columnist Vikki Campion, married to One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce, has started a part-time advisory role with the party’s New South Wales state executive.
Vikki Campion, a regular columnist for The Saturday Telegraph and spouse of federal One Nation MP Barnaby Joyce, began a part-time contract advising the New South Wales One Nation state executive. She helped leader Mike Newman with a recent press conference in the Hunter electorate and reports to the state executive, which operates separately from the federal party. Campion, who has six years of experience as a political contractor and previously worked for the state Nationals, said her marriage and political ties are already disclosed publicly.
She indicated that her advisory role does not signal any candidacy ambitions. The appointment occurs as One Nation readies its campaign for the upcoming March state election, alongside other high-profile figures such as Katherine Deves joining the party. Campion also confirmed she will continue her weekly column while serving in the advisory capacity.
