Vince Gilligan Says His Mother Is Pushing Him for Pluribus Season Two
Vince Gilligan told DECIDER that his mother, Gail, keeps urging him to finish Pluribus’s second season, but production and post-production work are causing delays.
During a Televerse appearance with several Pluribus actors, creator Vince Gilligan discussed the status of the show’s upcoming second season. He revealed that his mother, Gail, constantly reminds him she may not live to see the new episodes, adding pressure beyond the fans’ requests. Gilligan noted that the series’ global storyline requires complex logistics and that each shot involves meticulous background removal and visual-effects work, which lengthens the timeline.
He clarified that the delay is not meant to frustrate the audience but stems from the need to perfect the production. Pluridis, which launched in November, has already secured 18 Emmy nominations out of Apple TV’s 89 total. Gilligan urged both his mother and the fanbase to remain patient as the crew moves into the shooting and post-production phases.
